自2013年始,英国著名人类学家罗伯特·莱顿教授作为“高端外国专家”与中国艺术研究院一同展开为期3年的合作研究。在这期间,中国艺术研究院艺术人类学研究关祎副研究员与安丽哲副研究员,同罗伯特教授就西方艺术人类学的研究背景以及发展状况进行了有益探讨和交流,并对比反思了中国艺术人类学的一些特征。本文以“三人谈”的形式,将罗伯特·莱顿教授与中国艺术研究院两位年轻学者的交流汇集刊发,内容涉及艺术人类学缘起、中西方艺术人类学研究特点之比较、中西方民间手工艺的象征问题、田野中的“艺术家”与“工匠”之争及澳大利亚原住民艺术与中国山东省民间艺术田野考察情况,以展现艺术人类学研究的国际视野与最新成果。
