传为五代徐熙的《雪竹图》(图1),现藏于上海博物馆,曾引发谢稚柳和徐邦达两位先生的激辩。辩论的焦点在于对“落墨”的不同解读,从而产生完全不同的判断结果。谢稚柳先后四次通过文章或图集将《雪竹图》归属于徐熙1,而徐邦达则以为“早不过南宋中期,晚可以到元明之间”2。至今,不少学者仍然认可谢稚柳的判断。综合两位先生的论证,笔者以为,从结构特征和“艺术时代性而论”3,显然谢稚柳的断代是合理的,即《雪竹图》“不会晚于北宋初期”4。虽然徐邦达在年代上的推断失据,但阐述“落墨”的词义,却接近于真意。究其
Biography Xu Xi’s “Snow Bamboo Figure” (Figure 1), is now hidden in the Shanghai Museum, has led Xie Yanliu and Xu Bangda two gentlemen’s debate. Xie Zhiliu has attributed the “Snow Bamboo” to Xu Xi 1 through articles or atlas four times, while Xu Bangda thinks “early but not in the middle of the Southern Song Dynasty and late Yuan and Ming”. So far, many scholars still recognize Xie Zhi Liu’s judgment. Based on the demonstration of the two gentlemen, I think that from the structural features and the “artistic age” 3, it is clear that the birth of Xie Zhi Liu is reasonable, that is, “Snow and Bamboo Figure” “will not be later than the early Northern Song Dynasty” 4 . Although Xu Bangda inferred in the age of evidence, but elaborated “falling ink ” meaning, but close to the true meaning. Study it
