《论反对日本帝国主义》、《毛泽东论中日战争》、《论抗日战争》以及《持久战谈话》，是记载毛泽东1936年7月16日与斯诺谈话的四个文本。《毛泽东论中日战争》是当年斯诺访问陕北苏区后最早在国内以中文发表的谈话记录，具有重大史料价值。对这四个文本进行综合研究，可在五个方面深化对这次谈话的理解。
“On Opposing Japanese Imperialism,” “Mao Zedong on the Sino-Japanese War,” “On the War of Resistance Against Japan,” and “Protracted War Talks” are the four texts recording Mao Zedong’s conversation with Snow on July 16, 1936. “Mao Zedong on the Sino-Japanese War” was the earliest in the country after Snow visited Soviet Union in the Soviet area to publish the record of the conversation in China, with great historical value. A comprehensive study of the four texts can deepen the understanding of the conversation in five aspects.
