Jane Eyre is a famous novel in world literary works. Readers are often overwhelmed by the excellent qualities exhibited by the heroine while reading this novel, so they naturally ignore or even hate Beesan Mason, the crazy woman hidden in the attic. From a female’s point of view, Bertha and Jane are the same sisters who are oppressed by men’s society. Relative to Jane Eyre, Bertha’s resistance is covertly circuitous but more radical due to loss of linguistic function. The final two totally different women united in the theme of their own resistance and novels.
