From June 22 to June 24, the University of Cambridge held a symposium entitled “Arab Jewish Culture 1948-2009”, which provided a new perspective on the study of Arab Jewish culture. In the 20th century, Arab Jews came to Israel from Arab countries such as Morocco and Iraq. However, western academic circles have long rarely studied the complicated identities of this group of Arab Jews and their influence on the culture of the Middle East. The meeting examined the Israeli government’s process of absorbing Arab Jews and its impact on Arab Jewish literature and Palestinian culture.
