与政治类、经济类、科技类以及医学类的英语文章相比,英语灾难性的文章有着自身的语言特点,无论是口语还是书面语,只要涉及灾难性的话题,总有特定的词会被使用,即英语灾难性的文章中存在着大量的惯用语。本文通过Google建立的语料库,以维基百科中2011 Christchurch earthquake报道为例,分析Sinclair的惯用原则在英语灾难性文章中的应用,以期为外语教与学提供新的思路。
English disastrous articles have their own linguistic features compared to the English articles in politics, economics, science and technology, and medicine. There are always specific words to use when speaking disastrous topics, whether spoken or written , There is a large number of idioms in English disastrous articles. This article uses the corpus created by Google to take the case of 2011 Christchurch earthquake in Wikipedia as an example to analyze the application of Sinclair’s idioms in catastrophic English articles so as to provide new ideas for foreign language teaching and learning.
