1 General conditions The Laboratory of Freshwater Fish Germplasm Resources and Biotechnology in Yangtze River Institute of Fisheries of CAFS is one of the state key laboratories constructed with the approval of the State Planning Commission of China in July, 1985. In 1989, the Laboratory got through the cheek and acceptance of the state department concerned. Since February, 1990, it has been formally open to home and outside world.
