In this paper, a jagged symmetric dipole antenna is analyzed and calculated using the moment method. When the size of the antenna is selected properly, the length of the antenna is shortened by 26% than that of the conventional linear half-wave dipole antenna. The antenna’s radiation pattern is very similar to the radiation pattern of a typical straight half-wave dipole antenna with an input impedance of 47 ohms that matches a 50 ohm coaxial cable.
