Design Description: Although the area surrounding the National Stadium is a complete pedestrian area, the pedestrian zone far exceeds the human-perceived and comfortable spatial scale in order to emphasize the strong memorial of the central axis in Beijing. The pedestrian restrictions on the venue also make the pedestrian zone essentially a small venue entry. The well-organized surrounding urban transport and public transport systems have made the two in-field entrances extremely single and have dominant modes of transport for the site. The single nature of venue and function has resulted in a lack of motivation to reach large areas and landmarks. During the time of a non-specific event, the venue becomes unattractive and unmotivated to the public
