谭景伟出生于黑龙江省一个普通农民家庭,自幼酷爱文学。他上中学时,梦想通过高考改变家庭命运,可惜高考前夕,一场大病让他梦想落空。1996年年初,21岁的谭景伟来到北京,在工厂扛过大包,之后去了广州,做过几个月推销员。生活的艰难让他饱尝辛酸,“在广州有一段时间,只能天天以方便面和包子果腹。天天吃,直到现在,我见到方便面和包子就发。”
Tan Jingwei was born in Heilongjiang Province, an ordinary peasant family, his childhood love of literature.
