随着经济全球化的进一步深入,我国与世界经济的联系也越来越紧密。人才是经济发展的动力,作为高素质人才培育的摇篮,中国越来越多的高校提出要培养具有国际化视野,能够参与国际交流与合作的大学生。中国高校学生大多已经接受近十年的英语教育,然而能够顺畅参与国际交流的学生却少之又少,这与我国英语教学重理论轻实践的教学模式分不开的,特别是一些地方高校,其英语教学更是习惯照本宣科,再加上学生缺乏英语实践的机会,导致学生英语水平难以提高,因此,在高校开设演讲课程势在必行。本文着重探讨地方高校英语教学的困境,并以此为基础针对高校英语演讲课程的培养目标、教学方法等方面进行探讨,希望能够为地方高校开设英语演讲选修课提供参考。 With the further deepening of economic globalization, our country has become more closely linked with the world economy. Talent is the driving force for economic development. As the cradle of high-quality talent cultivation, more and more Chinese universities have proposed to train university students with an international perspective and able to participate in international exchanges and cooperation. Most Chinese university students have accepted nearly 10 years of English education. However, few students can smoothly participate in international exchanges. This is inseparable from the teaching mode of light practical teaching of English teaching in our country. In particular, some local universities, Its English teaching is more accustomed to the syllabus, coupled with the lack of opportunities for students to practice in English, resulting in difficult to improve the level of students’ English, therefore, the establishment of lecture courses in universities is imperative. This article focuses on the predicament of English teaching in local colleges and universities, and based on this, probes into the training objectives and teaching methods of English lecture courses in colleges and universities, hoping to provide a reference for the establishment of English lecture elective courses in local colleges and universities.
