The life of prose is true. This truth is reflected in the author’s personal memory and expression. Although there have been essays that have evoked a strong tone on behalf of an era, that is, the so-called “Great Self” essay, I think that it will be difficult to become true literature. Most of my good essays are personal memories and at the same time true records. Therefore, it is also history, but it is a person’s history. The two small essays here are written and eaten. They are all true stories of my life. Decades have passed and many things are forgotten. Why can’t these two works be forgotten? I think because there is a real life in literature. They are deeply imprinted in my heart; at the same time, through my experience and my eyes, I can see the silhouette of an era. When I was writing prose, I was very careful to combine some small things with an era; I also paid attention to the details that seemed to be insignificant, and merged with my later life experience. This is because I firmly believe that: Prose is history - of course, is a person’s history.
