第二次鸦片战争中,中法双方达成了800万两白银的赔偿协议,并明确规定其中100万两用于赔偿遭受损失的法国商人、受法国保护者以及传教士,剩余700万两纳入军费。本文从法国外交部档案馆所藏相关史料出发,考察法国对这100万两战争赔款进行分配的方案和进程。
During the Second Opium War, China and France reached an agreement on the compensation of 8 million taels of silver and clearly stipulated that one million U.S. dollars were used to compensate French merchants who suffered losses, French protectors and missionaries, and the remaining 7 million taels were included in military expenditures . This article sets out from the relevant historical materials of the archives of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and examines the programs and processes by which France distributes the claims for the 1 million two-war.
