墨西哥小麦在国内的生育情况,从不同角度已有不少研究和报导。我区在自治区农牧局的组织下,于一九七四年在各地进行了较广泛地试种,并进行了综合总结。从各地试种结果看,墨麦在大多数地区均未超过当地推广良种,在广大河谷农区直接利用的可能性较小,但是由于墨麦具有杆矮抗倒、早熟等优点。对此不少同志认为可作杂交亲本,并在我区向高海拔地区推广,以扩大小麦种植面积,向低海拔地区推广,以便变一年一熟为一年两熟或二年三熟。这些工作已在实践中进行着,尤其是作杂交亲本,各科研单位已配制了不少组合。为了弄清问题,以便尽快地为西藏农业大上快上尽快地提供更
