Nadine Gordimer is a famous Caucasian female writer from South Africa who was born in 1924 and grew up in the white area of the outskirts of Johannesburg. She said that she did not understand racial discrimination when she was small. She only knew that black children did not enter the dance classes without watching movies. It was later understood that racial discrimination was not God’s arrangement but man-made. Since then, she has always fought with fighters against racial discrimination to help them escape police persecution and participate in their various activities. In 1987 it helped establish the South African Writers’ Congress. 98% of the members are blacks. In October 1991, she learned that she had won the Nobel Prize for Literature and said that this was for two years.
