American contemporary novelist Comac McCarthy is famous for describing bloody events. The violence in his novels is ubiquitous and many cruel and bloody scenes make it impossible to describe the violence. Therefore, the issue of the moral value orientation of his work has become the focus of controversy in the American critics. However, if we look at the works of McCarthy from the perspective of religion, it will help to find out the inner structure and deep meaning of his novels, reveal the creative landscape of McCarthy, and open a window for the overall observation and re-interpretation of McCarthy’s works.
