Once it was all green
　　Darkness was never seen;
　　Summer was hot, winters were cool
　　Nature wasn’t just a tool,
　　Humans were never mean –
　　Once it was all green.
　　
　　Roads and jungles full of trees
　　Everything was free;
　　Nobody had skin burns
　　Harmful – was not the sun,
　　When cities were bright and clean –
　　Once it was all green.
　　
　　No need to say, “Save the nature!”
　　We all WERE sensible creatures;
　　All plants were part of our prayer
　　But today what can we say,
　　Trees were standing tall and lean –
　　Once it was all green.
　　
　　曾经一切尽绿时
　　黑暗杳然不曾见;
　　夏炎热来冬凉爽
　　自然不为人摆布。
　　人类亦非悭吝辈——
　　曾经一切尽绿时。
　　
　　路边丛林树漫漫
　　一切取之皆随心;
　　无人皮肤受灼伤
　　阳光从不为祸害,
　　城市明亮且洁净——
　　曾经一切尽绿时。
　　
　　无需高呼“救自然!”
　　人们通情又达理;
　　曾为万物祈福荫
　　如今相对却无言,
　　树木高耸而健壮——
　　曾经一切尽绿时。
