The authors reported a rare case of pigmented Bowen disease and retrospectively studied 420 Bowen cases. Patient, 87 years old, Italian white woman. Treatment for unusual pigment changes in the ring finger. Ten years ago the patient had noticed some scaling and cracking in his left hand ring finger, but he had not paid attention. Six months ago she began to find that the damage color was becoming darker. Examination of the patient’s left ring refers to a pigmented, enlarged scale-like plaque that extends to the middle finger through the adjacent palate. Individual parts of the lesion appear pink, most of which is chocolate-like dark brown. No nodules were damaged or hard, no related lymphadenopathy was found, and clinically suspected superficially diffuse melanoma.
