In the late 1960s, only a handful of galleries in Taiwan quietly worked in an unknown situation. Two decades of development have made this a prospective and sustainable enterprise. From a record-breaking 1971 to a 40-year history in 2012, Taiwan’s art market has expanded from a domestic primary market to a two-tier market and has started to gain access to the international market. A consolidation and upgrading, there are international and cross-Strait market pattern. With the increasingly close exchange of arts and culture between the two sides of the strait, the development of Taiwan’s local art market is also inextricably linked with the mainland market trend. If we look at the fact that Taiwan’s art market has been developing for more than 20 years in mainland China, the booming and thriving arts market in mainland China in the past decade seems to have surpassed the size of Taiwan’s domestic market. Having been in contact with more than 20 years of cross-strait arts
