创新是灵魂,创新是精髓,创新是文学发展、也是小说创作的生命线,我就是抱着创新的思想意识来创作《静静的大运河》的。《静静的大运河》在整体结构上,又可分现实和梦境两条大线,我在此作结构上的另一刻意追求便是将纵线和横线交织起来,将心理结构与情节结构有机地结合起来。结构的创新,是《静静的大运河》最主要最着力的创新。我着力将主要人物塑造成个性鲜明、性格复杂、血肉丰满的活的形象,力戒苍白、枯瘪和扁平化,变性格塑造的两极化为多元化,也算是一种创新。文学要适应新的时代和读者对真善美的要求,那就必须在内容和形式上都要不断创新。
