Santa Fe Railroad installed a new computerized locomotive management system at the Schaumburg System Operations Center (SOC) in Illinois. The train runs an average of 250 trains a day, with data from various sources producing an image projection projected onto a giant 60-foot (18.29m) screen. This screen shows the current state of the Santa Fe railway, the power of the locomotive to take over the towing tasks, the marshalling capabilities of the railway marshalling yard, the locomotive depot and the lines of the railway companies.
