杨清振在《谈谈我学做文人树盆景》(刊2004年第一期)一文中附上了他的《铮骨啸风》的照片,笔者也颇喜爱文人树。在学习过程中有一些教训,在此愿与杨先生探讨。首先,该盆景的树桩选材上应该说不是太理想:树干太粗,树头向上不多便向右斜,随即向左弯曲,结顶时又向右倾斜,形成一个 S 形主干。文人树的单干树桩要求修长挺拔,直中微曲,以显示干形的俊雅文秀,清新脱俗·而该桩的 S 型树干比较柔弱,缺乏阳刚之气,不能不说是一个致命的弱点。杨先生对该盆景下了较大的功夫,修枝养片颇其功力,特别是结顶处较好地施展了技艺。但在左右两边都留下垂枝,却是明显的败笔。它使画面芜杂松散,大背文人树疏朗简洁之意,且两枝相背、缺乏呼应。愚意右边的垂枝可剪去,而左侧的垂枝则在下垂
