Sun Dalai and Liang Shih-ch’iu, both Tsinghua friends and “new moon factions,” both enjoyed a great deal of disagreement about the style of translation of Shakespeare’s plays. Liang Shih-ch’iu advocated the translation of prose, while Sun Danyu advocated the translation of poetry, both of whom dissent. Sun Dalai thought Shakespeare style is a verse verse, has its own rhythm and rhythm, he created his own “sound group ” corresponds to the Shakespeare’s plays, porting the rhythm and temperament of the original. Although Liang Shih-ch’iu also admitted that Shakespeare is a non-rhyme poem, he believes that there is no non-rhyme poem in Chinese and should be translated using prose.
