《语文学习》1991年第10期上发表了《对一个口号的质疑》一文,作者包培淮同志不同意把“发展学生的智力”看作是语文教学的目的之一。对此,我不敢苟同。 (1)对语文教学的“发展智力”的目的既要从总体上看(求同),也要从单项上看(求异)。这里仅把语文同数学摆在一起研究。从总体上看,语文教学和数学教学都旨在“发展智力”,正如该文中所言,“语文要发展学生的智力,其他学科也要发展学生的智力。”这是目的上的共同性。这是一层意思。另外,语文能力的发展是发展智力的一个方面。或者说发展智力是语文教学及其它学科教学共同的总目标。从目标学上说,有总目标,分目标,层递式目标之分。说“发展智力”是语文教学的目标,是从总目标的角
“Language learning” published the article “Questioning on a slogan” in the tenth period of 1991. Comrade Bao Peihua did not agree that “developing students’ intelligence” should be regarded as one of the aims of Chinese language teaching. I cannot agree with this. (1) The purpose of “development of intelligence” in Chinese teaching must be viewed from the overall perspective (seeking common ground) and from the individual perspective (seeking differences). Here only the language is studied together with mathematics. On the whole, language teaching and mathematics teaching are all aimed at “developing intelligence.” As the article states, “Language requires the development of students’ intelligence, and other disciplines also need to develop students’ intelligence.” This is a common goal. This is a layer of meaning. In addition, the development of language ability is an aspect of the development of intelligence. Or the development of intelligence is the common goal of language teaching and other subject teaching. From the objectives of learning, there are goals of total goals, sub-targets, and layered goals. Saying that “development of intelligence” is the goal of Chinese language teaching and is a corner of the overall goal.
