As the pioneer of identity criticism, Bel Hooks re-examined the racial and class differences existing within women and pointed out that black women are groups on the double edge of race and gender. In her opinion, the Women’s Liberation Movement did not include all women. She criticized the tendency of white feminists to eradicate racist voices of black women and called black feminists to practice identity politics. While recognizing the limitations of identity and politics, Emphasizing the differences between women and their races, analyzing the differences in detail, putting forward the theory of differential politics, consciously aware of the marginal status of black women and advocating the subjectivity of black women.
