Objective: To investigate the quality of life and its influencing factors in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). Methods: Polysomnography was performed on 149 snorers during sleep. The general conditions, Calgary Quality of Life Index, Epworth Sleepiness Scale and Beck Depression Questionnaire were evaluated. According to the apnea hypopnea index (AHI), 35 patients were divided into control group (AHI <5) and 114 patients with OSAHS group (AHI> 5). Results: The quality of life indicators of OSAHS group and control group were different. The total quality of life score of OSAHS patients was not related to AHI and lowest oxygen saturation, and was related to the average oxygen saturation, depression and sleepiness scale scores. Multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that depression and drowsiness symptoms were independent predictors of quality of life in OSAHS patients. Conclusion: The quality of life in OSAHS patients is declining and is associated with depression and drowsiness.
