习语是一种特殊的语言,是语言的精华。广义上的习语包括成语、言语、格言、名言录、典故、歇后语等等。习语是语言的特殊表达形式,是文化经历史的打磨而形成的语言精粹。习语可以在很少的字数范围内表达非常丰富的知识,它体现了一个国家或民族的社会文化。本文根据英语、汉语文化的差异性,研究中英习语差异的原因,并深入讨论中英习语翻译的方法与技巧。文化是指一个民族整体的价值观、思维方式及情感方式,此外也指一个民族的交流方式和生活方式。
Idioms are a special language, the essence of language. Idioms in a broad sense, including idioms, speech, motto, aphorisms, allusions, twisters and so on. Idioms are a special form of expression of language and are the essence of the language formed by the polishing of the history of culture. Idioms can be very few words in the range of expression of very rich knowledge, it reflects the social culture of a country or nation. Based on the differences between English and Chinese cultures, this article studies the reasons for the differences between Chinese and English idioms and discusses in depth the methods and techniques for translation between Chinese and English idioms. Culture refers to the values, ways of thinking and emotions of a nation as a whole. It also refers to the communication and lifestyles of a nation.
