土库曼斯坦地下有大量的天然气,西方能源专家认为土库曼斯坦有天然气藏量2.9×10~(12)m~3,而俄罗斯分析专家估计土库曼斯坦的气藏量为10×10~(12)～14×10~(12)m~3,居世界第三位,仅次于俄罗斯和伊朗。 中国要发展成为现代化的经济强国,经济增长率将继续提高,其对天然气的需求量亦将日益增加,估计到本世纪末中国使用天然气的人口将从1×10~8增加到2×10~8。尽管中国生产的天然气将增加,但在5年内其天然气仍短缺100×10~8m~3,到2010年预计中国要进口天然气2100×10~4t。
Turkmenistan has a lot of underground gas, western energy experts believe that Turkmenistan has natural gas reserves of 2.9 × 10 ~ (12) m ~ 3, while Russian analysts estimate Turkmenistan’s gas reserves of 10 × 10 ~ (12) ~ 14 × 10 ~ (12) m ~ 3, ranking third in the world, second only to Russia and Iran. To develop into a modern economic power, China will continue to increase its economic growth rate and its demand for natural gas will also increase. It is estimated that the population using natural gas in China will increase from 1 × 10-8 to 2 × 10-8 by the end of this century . Although natural gas production in China will increase, its natural gas will still be short of 100 × 10 ~ 8m ~ 3 within 5 years. By 2010, it is estimated that China will import 2,100 × 10 ~ 4t natural gas.
