最近,笔者在集币中发现一枚楚君字贝,几经周折,历时一年多,终于了解到,这是一批自然出土楚贝币中的一枚,并集到了这一批钱中另外两枚珍贵的钱币“(十斤)”字贝和“金”字贝。为此曾赋“梦江南”一首以记其实:“先秦货,楚币罕‘釿’‘金’。改铸熔销魂釜底,风尘湮损未甘心,几度费追寻”。这批楚贝于1987年夏季出土于河南省固始县农村丘陵地带。当时地面经暴雨冲刷,地表土流失,钱币星散,为当地农民捡拾后流入上海。据笔者了解,流入的这批钱币共5100多枚,含七个品种,其中(?)字贝最多,约有4700枚左右,大多数重量在1.1—2克之间,有部分为穿透型。钱背大多平素,但其中有13枚为合背型,背文(?),多数铭文不深。另有7枚(?)字贝
