The Crocus sativus is mainly produced in Spain, Italy and other places. Our country has introduced successful species and it is still unable to meet the needs of the domestic market and must continue to import from abroad. The international market is usually divided into two kinds of specifications for the sun and processed products. They are packed in iron boxes and have one pound per box. Since the early 1970s, China has directly imported net saffron and iron cartons from Spain, each containing 5 kg. As saffron is an expensive medicinal material and the price is expensive, it is often found in the import inspection that adulteration is adulterated. In order to examine the quality of the product and strengthen the import inspection, the Ministry of Health has established a quality standard that lists non-medicinal components and loss of drying. Test items such as ash, etc. are used for control, but it is still difficult to reflect its true quality. Therefore, it is urgent to establish indicators for the composition of saffron.
