数字图书馆 (Dlib)主要是为了解决信息资源的有效利用而产生的。数字图书馆要解决的是现在Internet存在的主要问题 :信息查找困难、异构信息仓储的互操作性和缺乏对大规模分布数据的操作机制。Dlib的关键技术是研究数字化信息的有效组织结构 ,解决各个信息仓储间的互操作性 ,形成Dlib基础体系结构以有效地操作大规模的、分布的数字化信息。其目标是实现跨仓储的统一检索 ,为用户提供一个虚拟的、统一的信息网络。文章重点介绍了国际上有影响的三大数字图书馆体系结构 :互联信息空间 (Interspace)、信息总线 (InfoBus)和基于代理 (agent)的体系结构。最后 ,文章总结了Dlib体系结构设计和实现的技术特点及其发展趋势。
Digital Library (Dlib) is mainly to solve the effective use of information resources arising. Digital library to solve the main problems existing in the Internet now is: information search difficulties, interoperability of heterogeneous information warehousing and the lack of operating mechanism for large-scale distribution of data. The key technology of Dlib is to study the effective organizational structure of digital information, solve the interoperability among various information warehousing, and form the Dlib basic architecture to effectively operate large-scale and distributed digital information. Its goal is to achieve a unified retrieval across warehouses, providing users with a virtual, unified information network. The article highlights three internationally influential digital library architectures: Interspace, InfoBus, and agent-based architectures. Finally, the article summarizes the technical characteristics and development trend of Dlib architecture design and implementation.
