In 1924 Papillon and Lefevre described palmar plantar hyperkeratosis syndrome (PLS) characterized by rapid destruction of the periodontal tissue and hyperkeratosis of the soles of the feet from the beginning of deciduous teeth. This article reports a 30-year-old male black patient characterized by palmoplantar lesions at 3 years of age and periodontal lesions at age 17 with minimal clinical symptoms.
