对涡流检测的局限性了解不够是这项技术未得到充分、正确使用的原因之一。如果能认识到涡流方法的局限性,这两种情况均能避免。某些局限性,如电磁检测法所固有的表层集肤效应,就限定了涡流检测技术在无损检测领域里的作用。另外一些局限性则能用现有的技术加以克服,如采用表面探头可探出铁管的周向裂缝,和使铁磁合金磁饱和来消除磁导率的影响。本文研讨了涡流检测的各种不同的局限性,并提出了现有的替代方法。对检测铁磁材料所特有的局限性着重加以讨论。本文也指明了有待进一步研究和发展的潜在领域。
Insufficient understanding of the limitations of eddy current testing is one reason why this technology is not fully used and used correctly. If you recognize the limitations of the eddy current method, both of these conditions can be avoided. Some of the limitations, such as the skin-skin effect inherent in electromagnetic detection, limit the role of eddy current testing in the field of non-destructive testing. Other limitations can be overcome with existing techniques, such as the use of surface probes to detect circumferential cracks in the tube and magnetic saturation of the ferromagnetic alloy to eliminate the effect of permeability. This article examines the various limitations of eddy current testing and suggests alternative methods available. The limitations of detecting ferromagnetic materials are discussed in detail. This article also points out the potential areas for further research and development.
