动画一词源于世界大战前的日本,当时日本把用线条描绘的漫画称为动画,随着科技和信息技术的不断发展,如今的动画产业已发展成为一副繁荣的景象!无论是从制作方法上还是创作上都发生了革命性的变化。中国动画从它创始初期就与世界动画紧密相连。虽有起色,但总是不尽人意,不能完整的满足大众的需求,可见动画产品的虽有发展,仍淡不足以步入世界的轨道,这是需要我们不断改进的地方。自从《铁扇公主》第一部动画片出版,便开启了中国动画先河,随之动画产业开始逐步步入轨道,频频在国际上获奖,引起世人的注目。从字面意义上看,动画是活动的、赋予生命的图画。Animation是英文对动画艺术的称谓,动词形式是Animate,词意富有“赋予……以生命,使……活起来”的意思。它包括所有使用逐个拍摄的方式,使木偶等没有生命的事物产生看起来像生命一样运动起来的电影,属于电影的四大片种之一,因此动画是“赋予生命”的含义。

It includes all the movies that make use of camera-by-shot to make inanimate objects such as puppets that look like life. It belongs to one of the four major film genres, so animations mean “giving life.”
