“Quality Criteria ” is one of the four criteria proposed by the English philosopher Grice in his pragmatic discourse principle. Its inspiration for translation practice is to help the translator decide what to do with the original text. The substance of the text, the original display content is the dialogue between the author and potential readers. In order to reproduce its content, the translator’s translation guidelines will inevitably maximize the use of context and communication with the author. In addition, accurately grasping the knowledge in the original language is also an important factor for translators to acquire quality. This means that the translator’s excessive assumption that the reader’s knowledge will cause them to understand the difficulties. This shows that translation theory has similarities to the conceptions of qualitative principles and pragmatics, but each has its own unique criterion. A translation study based on “Golden Notes” aims to show that the rules that dominate translation depend on the original work and the author rather than the translator. In other words, the more subjectivity the translator intrusions into the text, the greater the loss of quality.
