文学的“世俗性”取向一直颇受指摘,甚至被冠以“媚俗”的恶名。俗文学一方面在学术界、文学界、教育界和社会舆论中一直处于边缘地位,而另一方却又以丰繁的种类和巨大的数量显示着强大的生命力。“俗文学”是生活的“日常性”的表现,文学“雅正”与“通俗”的划分背后有特定的政治、学理等精英文化力量支撑,并不具有天然的合法性。文学的“通俗”倾向,恰表明了生活由伦理化、政治化、精英化向日常性、自在性的回归。承认、尊重生活的日常性,就应当承认文学的世俗性,就需要重新审理我们关于“俗文学”的观念和态度。
The “secular” orientation of literature has always been criticized, even being reputed to be “kitsch”. To recognize and respect the routine of life, we should recognize the secularity of literature and we need to reexamine our concepts and attitudes about “vulgar literature ”.
