Objective To explore the changes of cytokines in preeclampsia. Methods A total of 120 patients were randomly selected, including 40 cases in control group and 80 cases in preeclampsia. The levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in serum and amniotic fluid before delivery and 7 days after delivery were detected by ELISA. Results The levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in serum and amniotic fluid in patients with preeclampsia were significantly higher than those in the control group (t = 1.358, P <0.01). Serum levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in postpartum 7 days postpartum were lower than those in prenatal period (t = 1.358, P <0.01). Conclusion The abnormal expression of cytokines TNF-α and IL-1β in preeclampsia suggests that the pathogenesis of preeclampsia may be related to inflammation.
