外语教学中支持和反对语法教学的争论始终没有停止过。而在中学《英语课程标准》中,对语法教学目标作了明确的规定。这让我们认识到语法不是不能教,而是如何教、何时教,教到什么度的问题。通过分析常州的试卷可以看到,无论单选、完型填空,还是词汇、翻译句子和写作等,都不会少了对语法的考察。教学实践经验证明,教师的语法课上得具体形象或易于掌握,能提高学生的英语学习热情和兴趣,学生才可能学得下去,否则先入为主的观念会使他们的英语学习“跌倒”在语法学习前。因此,我们要找准英语语法教学改革的突破口,改进教学方法,充分发挥学生的主体作用,提高语法教学的效率,使学生在生动活泼的交流中不自觉地进入良好的学习状态,越过语法障碍,愉快地进行英语语法学习。那么在英语教学中老师如何寻找最佳的方法来教好语法呢?
