1概述为了满足城域网环境中高速增长的互联网流量,必须利用DWDM提供的空前带宽资源,同时必须使DWDM网络优化以至于提供IPQoS能力。传统的SDH/SONET光网络是具有高速容量和低时延,微小错误率的传输管道,在现有传送网QoS方面作出了贡献。但单个分组或汇聚的流量在光域上Gbit速率下不能被跟踪和控制。当IP成为具有支配数据传输的选择时,就必须设计QoS模型来处理某些实时业务的应用。
1 Overview To meet the rapidly growing Internet traffic in metropolitan area networks, unparalleled bandwidth resources must be leveraged by DWDM and DWDM networks must be optimized to provide IPQoS capabilities. The traditional SDH / SONET optical network is a transmission pipe with high speed capacity, low latency and slight error rate, and contributes to the QoS of the existing transport network. However, a single packet or aggregated traffic can not be tracked and controlled at the Gbit rate in the optical domain. When IP becomes the dominant choice of data transmission, QoS models have to be designed to handle some real-time business applications.
