The use of tumor gene transfected tumor vaccines for tumor treatment is a new approach worth exploring. In this study, tumor neoplasms transfected with radiation-activated TNF-α gene were used as tumor vaccines in combination with low-dose IL-2 and/or low-dose cyclophosphamide to treat experimental lung metastasis-bearing mice. The infected tumor vaccine has no obvious curative effect, but it has a significant anti-tumor metastasis effect when combined with low-dose IL-2 or low-dose IL-2 plus low-dose cyclophosphamide. This study shows that low-dose IL-2 and low-dose cyclophosphamide enhance the anti-tumor metastasis effect of TNF gene transfected tumor vaccines.
