本文以直译/意译之辩为线索,考察了日本近现代翻译史的发展、变化及其特点和主要成因。在日本,翻译研究属于“论”的范畴,离“学”尚有距离,却并非没有亮点。日本翻译家在理论研究与翻译实践中所体现出来的柔软性和超越性、日本作家通过翻译对当代日语文体形成的贡献,以及由直译/意译之辩所引发出来的译介学萌芽,皆有借鉴、参考价值。
This essay cites the debate between literal translation and free translation, examining the development, changes, characteristics and main causes of the translation history in modern and contemporary Japan. In Japan, translation studies belong to the category of “theory”, yet there is a distance from “science”, but there is no bright spot. The softness and transcendence of Japanese translators in theoretical research and translation practice, the contribution of Japanese writers to the formation of contemporary Japanese style through translating, and the sprout of translatology triggered by the debate between literal translation and paraphrase Reference, reference value.
