Studied the dissolution of alumina in molten cryolite, one of the most important problems in the production of aluminum electrolysis. Through the observation and recording of phenomena and the comparison of the dissolving properties of aluminum oxide in cryolite solution between domestic and foreign manufacturers, it was found that the dissolution process included Three stages: formation of melt surface electrolyte / alumina agglomerates; caking and dissolution of agglomerates; settling and dissolution of alumina particles in the electrolyte body; dissolution of alumina at the bottom of the tank
