The use of Faraday mirror to compensate for the polarization of light propagating in optical fiber is discussed. The Flicker-based plug-and-play system in quantum cryptography is introduced and the simple phase coding analysis of the plug-and-play system is introduced. Interferometry pulses follow exactly the same path in the system, ensuring very high stability and self-compensation, using Faraday lenses to automatically compensate for any birefringence and polarization-dependent loss in the fiber.
