  摘要:The Comment on Teaching Plan is based on Unit One of New Practical English Book I. There are six parts in it, including the analysis of the students, the teaching materials and proper teaching methods, etc. The design, processing and integration to the teaching materials are very attractive.

  1.Analysis of Students(学情分析)
  The students are the first newcomers in our nursing college, their enrollment marks are not very high. In English classes of high schools, the students seldom express their ideas in English, they don’t communicate with others in English, either. So we should enable them to be active and speak more English words or sentences in class. Therefore some interesting teaching methods and activities will be necessary in English teaching. What we want is to involve every student in speaking and listening English in order that they can pass the PRETCO(Practical English Test for Colleges)Level A.
  2.Analysis of Teaching Materials(教材分析)
  2.1Teaching Contents (教学内容和教材处理)
  New Practical English Book I is published by Higher Education Press. Unit One is relatively simple for the students. This part is about greeting and introducing people which was usually taught in middle school. So I will give them something new concerning their major——nursing, such as greeting people in hospital, words about parts of the hospital.

  Key Points
  Grasp the words or sentences about greeting and introducing people.
  Difficult Points
  Express the ideas and communicate with others in English.

  2.3Knowledge Aims(知识目标)
  A level: To understand and grasp the words and dialogues in greeting and introducing people; grasp the words and way of greeting and introducing people in hospital.
  B level: To understand and grasp the words and dialogues in greeting and introducing people.
  C level: To understand and grasp the words and sentences in greeting and introducing people
  能力目标
  A level: experiencing greeting and introducing people in any situation freely.
  B level: making dialogues to greet and introduce people.
  C level: making simple sentences about greeting and introducing people.
  Moral or Emotional Aims(情感目标)
  Enable the students to have desire to study English and enjoy the lesson.
  Encourage the students to be active in class.
  2.4Teaching Methods(教学方法)

  3.Teaching Procedures (教学步骤)
  Step One Lead-in
  3.1Warming-up: the teacher will raise some questions.
  Qs: a. When are business card exchanged between people?
   b. What are written on business card?
  The students’ answers may be different, so comments are necessary.(Honor of courage to be provided)
  设计意图:导入今天的课题,鼓励学生用英语勇敢地表现自己,“唤醒”学生原有的知识,为下一步教学做准备。
  3.2Read and translate the business card and the passport in section I.
  The students will work in group. The teacher will give them the correct answer, and direct them how to use a business card in greetings.
  设计意图:通过小组活动,了解名片在交际活动中的用途,使所有学生很快进入课堂角色。
  Step TwoTalking Face to Face
  1、Greeting and giving responses——greeting people at first meeting
  The students will read sample dialogue 1 in pairs, and then find out the useful sentences when greeting people at the first meeting.
  a. How do you do? → How do you do?
  b. Nice to meet you.→ Nice to meet you, too.
  c. Pleased/Glad to see you.→ Pleased/Glad to see you.
  Task 1: Role play——meeting Prof. Smith at the airport.
  设计意图:学生带着任务读对话,快速归纳初次见面用语,然后做情景对话,训练表达能力。
  2、Greeting and giving responses——meeting again
  The students will read sample dialogue 2 in pairs, and then find out the useful sentences when
  meeting people again.
  a.Haven’t seen you for ages. How are you? → Fine/Very well/OK, thank you.
  b.Fancy seeing you here, Lily.→ Yeah, fancy that.
  c.Nice to have you with us, Ann.
  Please make yourself at home. → Thank you, I will.
  Task 2: Role play---greeting your business partner, Mr. Johnson, at a trade fair.
  設计意图:学生带着任务读对话,快速归纳再次见面用语,做情景对话,训练语言运用能力。
  3、Exchanging personal information.
  The students will read and act out sample dialogue 2 on Page 3.
  a. Allow me to introduce myself.
  b. My name is Li Mei, manager of the company. This is my business card
  Task 3:Role play---introducing yourself to Mr. Green.
  设计意图:学生完成第三个任务的同时,检验自己对交换个人信息和进行自我介绍的常用语言的掌握程度,为后面的对话练习做铺垫。教师对学生的表演进行点评,口头表扬学生积极参与课堂活动的表现,激发其学习的主观能动性。
  Step ThreeBeing All Ears
  1、Pre-listening task:Read the printed materials in Listen and Decode quickly.
  2、While-listening task: Repeat the sentences after the tape/fill in the blanks.
  3、Post-listening task: Do the exercises in Listen and Decode and Listen and Respond/check the answers
  Way of Introduction: a greeting, a handshake, an exchange of names and cards, and a few words about each other’s work..
  Listening skills:
  设计意图:通过听Listen and Decode 、Listen and Respond和Listen and Read这三部分内容,使学生掌握听力技巧;了解英国和美国介绍的方式及其重要性。
  Challenging yourself
  a. Do you want to see a doctor, Madam?d. Dr. Wang is good at this kind of case.
  b. What’s wrong with you, sir?e. I think you need a dentist, Miss Li.
  c. Which department do you want to register in?f. You’d better go to the Medical Department.
  设计意图:学习在医院的问候用语能够激发学生的学习兴趣,热爱本职工作,为将来成为合格的护士打基础。

  设计意图:1温习所学的知识。
  2 以小组为单位的练习可以培养学生合作学习和自主学习的能力。
  3 开放式的作业,实施分层教学,适合较好的和富有探索精神的学习。
  4.Teaching Reflection(教学反思)
  1、Systematic knowledge:本次课我讲授了第一单元的听说部分关于问候与介绍的常用语。运用情景教学法等维持学生的兴奋度,教学目标完成较好。
  2、Proper training:为了达成教学目标,我在使自己的教学过程紧凑、有趣方面做了大量的努力。在学生学习新知识点时,我设计活动通过互动来吸引学生的注意力,表现出较高的学习效率。同时使学生建立了说英语的自信心。
  3、Proper homework:作业分两个部分,使不同层次的学生都能获得足够的练习。
