2006年新春伊始,北京图书订货会举办“2006年度最值得推荐的一本书”活动,为新书推广寻找新平台、新渠道。与会的95家出版社推荐新书95种,35家媒体推荐新书20种。其中,宁夏人民出版社的《龙图腾》引起了人们的关注。这部小说的作者就是曾在2004年创作《东方大帝》的罗光平。在短短两年时间内连续创作出两部上古题材的长篇．其作者本身便该是一个传奇。
