This article describes a pulsed Doppler radar technique that allows the radar to resolve ambiguities in distance and velocity during an intra-beam exposure to a target. The method used is to rapidly change the pulse repetition rate without spreading spectrum to an unacceptable level due to clutter. An improved filter and accumulation method is introduced to process the signal without loss and to solve the ambiguity of distance and velocity.
