August 15 this year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the unconditional surrender of Japanese fascists. On the eve of this great holiday, we interviewed the old friend of the Chinese people and the former Colonel Peter Gold in the United States Observation Team. This is an elderly apartment located on the outskirts of Seattle, United States. Around the flowers and trees, a green. At the time of our arrival Mrs. Petkin was waiting at the door. When they learned that guests came from far away in China, the apartment’s old people cast a surprising and friendly look. 91-year-old Mr. Peterkin stepped forward to warmly shook hands with us. Although his legs are not so handy, but energetic, powerful hands, still without losing the demeanor of a soldier.
