实验按照《人体测量学》方法测量２７名我国优秀男子手球运动员４５项身体形态指标及派生指标。对照组为我国城市男生。主要测量结果：我国优秀男子手球运动员身体形态指标：手长均值明显大于同龄对照组；手拇一小指指间距平均值为２１９４ｃｍ；虎口水平角度和虎口垂直角度平均值为８９１３°和１０３５７°；指间距长于身高３５３～４０４ｃｍ；坐高指数均值５９２２，为长躯干型；骨盆宽－身高指数和骨盆宽－肩宽指数平均值均小于同龄对照组，表明我国优秀男子手球运动员属宽肩窄骨盆型；达氏指数为中间型。
