In 1994, the propositions of the National General Colleges and Universities Admissions Examination History Division were based on the current secondary school teaching syllabus and “Exam Description”. They adhered to the principle of “two advantages”, insisted on the unity of ideology and science, further tapped the testing function of the questions, and adjusted the examination paper appropriately. The structure and contents of the examinations have strengthened the examination of the ability of the history disciplines, thus complying with the requirements of the college entrance examination on the basis of the high school graduation examinations, and well embodying the characteristics of the selection examinations.
