The author carefully read two teaching designs about “symmetry graphics” published in the 9th issue of “Hunan Education and Mathematics Teacher” in 2007 (respectively, Fu Yuyu and Yueyang Lou, Yueyang Yueyang Louqu District Station School, respectively. The design of Gao Yuanwang’s teacher at the Experimental Primary School in the district was very inspiring. Symmetrical graphics is a comparatively abstract mathematical concept that elementary schoolchildren came into contact with earlier. Its instructional design should be noted.
